If you only use tissues occasionally, standard brands are fine. But with frequent use — especially for sensitive or inflamed skin — switching to a cleaner tissue or handkerchief is gentler and safer.

Common tissues can contain bleaching agents, fragrances or lotions, formaldehyde, dyes, and petrolatum (a petroleum byproduct that may include PAHs). These additives can irritate or be absorbed through thin nasal skin, particularly during allergy or cold seasons.
